what drives attraction?

after readinmg extensiovely an array of books on gendered design and desire withing products ive started realizing that its society that depicts our attrtaction not ouir natural abuility to determine what we like. influenced by everything and anyone we strive to admire what we know we should, what has admired beofre and what leads admiration. from post war obsession with cleanliness when women were forced into OCD of cleaning and making sure their 'boys' grew up strong for way, came the ntural attraction of products designed minimal, no wonder we all like Dieter Rams work, it embellished all of the key things we longed for back then. less detail less crevices for dirt to gather, smoother surfaces, easier to wipe down and the pureness of white is only seen as pure as dirt is seen as off white. and why is that, thats because of womens driven obsession with bleach. and why do women strive for clean smells, what started the whole fascination with nice smells anyway? stigma form back in the days when men overpowered womens intellect. girls have since the dawn of time been depicted as softer, gentlre, delicate specimens of human life, we used to be good for being observed, not for observing ourselves, and to be honrest thats no ones fault but our own. we were far too quick to pick up the sewing and watch the soaps, another tact insticated to take women abck out of the workforce after the wars. it seems that every chance to make men appear more dominant has been taken with both hands. not that im sexist of feel badly done to in any respect, i certainly dont hold a grudge against men today for the fact that althought my grandma heklped build planes while my grandfather was working as a cook on submarines in the war, she was the one who had to hand over that taste of independance when he came home. in fact it just makes me curious why. i mean what is the risk of women losing their roles of femininity, why have men tried to oppose that? why do we still today encourgae genderistaion with opur children? i did a project for the early learnig centre and was surpruised to find that topys coloured neutrtally didnt sell. i automatically presumed that the modern day parent would strive to remove differentiatiion between classes. i was so wrong. apparently pink and blue is the way to go and it has always been this way. even when girls were gagging for some more 'angry' toys, and she ra was desgined (he-mans woen) she only sold once they made her pnats pink. insanity or just genetics? its not hard to comprehend that we only buy what we buy because we know that to be the right thing to do, and how do we know that? through previous experience, knowledge, and where do we get that from? our parents, TV, no surprise in gender typing form commercials, theyre only in it to sell. why do we keep on buying it? is there anything wrong with it anyhow? where does it elad? is it whata ccounts for seuasl preference when older? i dont in anyway mean that boys who played with dolls are going to be gay, but i mean does the reaction to having this gendertyping forced on us at a young age make us react, each reatcing to their own way. i hated barbie, not because i knew what she stood for or because of her form, i just found her boring. she stated what she was, the fact she in no way portrayed my mother might have been a gfactor, or the fact i loved playing outdoors, footbalk and my little pony could also have been factors. i was never a girly child and hated all the usual girl stuff, it made me slightl repulse to be honest, how fucking scary the cabbage patch dolls where, i had one doll, called sarah, she had a hard head which i could grab easier to carry and a soft body which i could squeeze for comfort. looking back ive always functioned through function. so was i not attracted to these toys through my lack of stereotype taste in appearance?

the next generation of sex toys?

so waht do people demand of sexual pleasure today? what is it that makes this natural act so poignant to the way we live our lives? or is it our lives that nmake us conform to sertain types of sex? take for instance the workaholic who spends far too much of his time in the office, taken orders from someone who doesnt know as mich as himself. frustration, dominance and the need to relase pressure are to be expected, is it therefore that he would be driven by the need to 'vanquish' such demons influencing his taste in sexual pleasure of that he maintains the working environment to feed his sexual nature? do people automatically turn to sex to release or to gain? i think both. there has been times when all ive needed is the warmth of the person on top of me and other times where ive had such a shitty day i just need a good 'seeing to' to forget about it. sex is another way to solve many problems, yet it almost complicates them too. in a world where im feeling im in a lot of the time nowadays, i want to have the connection with a partnert aht i got from being in love, the intimacy, the kissing the whole schebang in the bedroom, but i dont want to have to take windy walks or make bullshit text messages up to make the feelings i put across maintained as it where. how do you get the 'good bits' of a relationship? i dont have time for a partner and dont want one to be honest. i am what you could refer to as a new age woman, driven by independance and the fact that the world is far to easy to see today, opening up so many options for anyone who wants to explore and work around the world. Yet i do miss the feeling of waking up with someone, gentle kisses. After trying one night stands you relaise that such components of essentail love making are missing from that area. theres no 'warm up' afterall it shouldnt be needed. the fact youve exposed yourself to some one you hardly know by agreeing to go back to theres is pretty much the same as if youve signed a decleration, "we will now have sex." but even when i tried to make him kiss me gently, explained that going at me hammer and tongs isnt doing anything for me whatsoever, nothing changed. he had no bobigation to me whatso ever to please me, so why should he? a one night stander sees a one night stand as sex, however they like it. to feel like the guy had used me the same way he uses his hand after 5 minutes of pussy galore 2, did however make me realise that one night stands arnt for me. so that aside, unless you meet someone wth the same monitves for wanting sex as yourself, in my case a guy who wants to treat me like a goddess in the bedroom then never mention the fact for at least 5 hours he loved me the way i deserve, were going to end up pretty dissapointed on that front. but what if robotic rtechnology was applied to sex toys in general? there is already talk of how robots can learn your needs, dislikes through scanning an drecording expression, sound etc. what about emotive fabrics that rect to you? imagine going to ann summers and instead of you chosing your next dildo, it chose you? surely the fact that an object could pay you the same attention that you get from apotential partner would increase the chance of you taking it home?what if you made it get turned on? surely youd have more satisfaction in using it if you felt as though it was a rewward?i dont know about you, but theres nothing greater than making someone you care about come. what if it chnged to something you care about?could that change? people already make connections to their household opbjects, i have friends who name their technology, i myself refer to my mac as Bibi, and tell her off when she doesnt download fast enough.starnge but almost natural. im a single woman who doesnst long for children but naturally mothers and protects. i cover Bibi up when i leave her on my desk so she doesnt get too hot in the sun. not because im in any way confused about the fact that she isnt a real child, i protect the technology contained within her from overheating, not her outer shell, but broken down the same fundemental refernce to her as 'mine' says enough. what if you kept your sex toy with you at all times, not like a whopping vibrating cock in your bag but as a small device that changed shaope depending on what you where using it for? i operosnally believe that it only a matter of time beofre we share the earth with robots. we already so in some respect, but i mean life sized mimickin robotic human doubles. its inevitable, but how would you feel having a relationship with one?
